EAS FH Week 2026

It's FH Awareness Day 2026! We aim to shine a spotlight on FH, raising awareness among the general public, healthcare professionals, and policy-makers alike. This work directly supports the ambitions of the EU Safe Hearts Plan, reinforcing the need for earlier detection, improved access to treatment, and more consistent implementation of evidence-based cardiovascular prevention across Europe.


Our key message is clear: early detection and optimal management of FH can change the course of a lifetime and requires shared responsibility, strong collaboration, and coordinated action aligned with the EU Safe Hearts Plan.


We highlight:

• EAS Consensus Statement on FH in children and adolescents
• Paediatric Lipid Working Group – a new initiative to strengthen care, education, and collaboration for children with inherited lipid disorders
